The Zig Zag Eel is a spiny eel species named for the dark zigzag or wave-like patterns that run along its back. Often confused with the Tire Track Eel, this species is typically smaller and more manageable in home aquariums. It's a shy, bottom-dwelling predator that appreciates plenty of hiding spots and low lighting.
