Porcupine Puffer (Diodon holocanthus)
A charismatic marine species that inflates when threatened, the Porcupine Puffer is intelligent, interactive, and fun to watch. However, it’s not reef-safe and needs a large tank.

Tank Size: 125+ gallons
Diet: Carnivore – hard-shelled foods like clams or crab to prevent beak overgrowth
Temperament: Semi-aggressive
Notes: Will eat inverts and smaller fish; keep with similarly sized tankmates.
