Despite its size and intimidating appearance, it's generally peaceful and intelligent—often recognizing and interacting with its keeper. Best kept in a large, well-covered tank with plenty of hiding spots.

Tank Size: Minimum 125 gallons
Care Level: Advanced
Diet: Carnivore – live or frozen bloodworms, earthworms, shrimp, and sinking carnivore pellets
Temperament: Peaceful to semi-aggressive (may eat very small fish)
Compatibility: Good with large, non-aggressive fish
