Chocolate Chip Starfish (Protoreaster nodosus)
The Chocolate Chip Starfish is easily recognized by its tan body adorned with dark, pointed tubercles resembling chocolate chips. While hardy and fascinating to observe, it is not reef-safe as it may eat soft corals, sponges, and invertebrates.

Care Level: Easy to Moderate
Diet: Omnivore – detritus, meaty bits, sponges
Aggression Level: Peaceful – but predatory toward reef inverts
