Bar Goby (Amblygobius phalaena)

The Bar Goby is a small, striking species of goby with a pale body marked by distinctive dark vertical bars. Known for its peaceful and curious nature, it is a popular choice for reef tanks due to its calm demeanor and fascinating behavior. Native to the Indo-Pacific, it is typically found in sandy or muddy reef bottoms, where it creates burrows for shelter. The Bar Goby is a carnivorous species, primarily feeding on small invertebrates and detritus. It is a social fish that often pairs up with pistol shrimp, forming a mutualistic relationship.
